The FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee has now completed its July 2026 review of seven peptide substances — and the outcome makes this a particularly interesting moment for peptide research.

The committee considered:

• BPC-157
• TB-500
• KPV
• MOTS-C
• Semax
• Epitalon
• Emideltide (DSIP)

Six received favourable committee recommendations for potential inclusion on the 503A Bulks List, while Emideltide/DSIP did not.

🔬 Why This Matters

The significance isn't that these peptides suddenly became FDA-approved — they haven't.

Instead, the votes form part of the regulatory process surrounding whether qualifying compounding pharmacies may eventually be able to use these substances under Section 503A.

The committee's recommendations are advisory, so further FDA action would be required before the regulatory position actually changes.

Still, seeing six compounds receive favourable recommendations makes this an important development to follow.
